PURPOSE: Work with multiple IT teams and university departments to develop, maintain, and enhance web sites and web applications. Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing complex web sites and web applications for a department or several departments. Responsible for writing advanced web authoring code, designing or integrating graphics and databases for the web sites and applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interact with the user community to gather and document business requirements, conduct process analysis, and draft conceptual design. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of websites and web applications. Assist in the design and implementation of web page text and visual content, navigational links, and page layout utilizing the use of Enterprise tools and development standards. Assist in the design, coding, testing and installation of web applications based on technical specifications using Enterprise standard development tools and methodologies. Create technical specifications and detailed software design documentation based on business requirements. Assist users in completing user acceptance. Work on multiple projects with competing deadlines requiring strong attention to detail and analytics. Work with users and other IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customize software to meet user specific needs. Provide 2nd level support for application problems. Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Two+ years of university or college with coursework in computing or information systems or related field.
