Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. § 1681) is a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on gender in educational institutions which receive federal financial assistance. Title IX also prohibits sexual harassment, which includes sexual assault and sexual violence.

UT Arlington has designated Jean Hood, Vice President of Human Resources to serve as its Title IX Coordinator. She has been charged with monitoring compliance of Title IX and addressing Title IX concerns and complaints. Ms. Hood along with her Deputy Coordinators are responsible for receiving and investigating complaints of sexual harassment, including sexual assault and sexual violence.

If you believe you have been sexually harassed or have been the victim of sexual violence, please contact the Title IX Coordinator or any of the Deputy Title IX Coordinators to file a complaint.
