The Department of Kinesiology at The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor with a background in physical education pedagogy. This position is a nine-month, non-tenure track appointment to begin September 2013. Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses in physical education teacher education and supervising student teachers. Other duties may include advising students, and serving on department and college committees. Preferred Qualifications include: an earned doctorate in sport pedagogy or closely related field, demonstrated teaching experience in K-16 physical education settings, and supervision of student teachers.
The Department of Kinesiology is one of three departments housed within the College of Education and Health Professions. The department is organized into three main program areas that include Exercise Science, Athletic Training, and Physical Education Teacher Education.
