The Department of Communication at The University of Texas at Arlington invites applicants for either an Assistant Professor in a tenure-track position in Advertising; or an Advertising Specialist with a Master’s degree (preferred) with significant experience in the field. Located within the growing Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, UT Arlington is part of the University of Texas system with more than 33,000 students.
Advertising, Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track
UT Arlington seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Advertising beginning Fall 2013. Applicants with Ph.D.s are preferred; ABDs will be considered. Candidate should demonstrate a record of or potential for excellence in social scientific research, teaching, and service appropriate to the rank. Preferred teaching and research areas include creative, interactive media, IMC, and consumer and market research. A secondary teaching field in public relations, communication law and ethics, and/or media sales would be valuable. The ability to contribute to the department’s M.A. in Communication is required.
Advertising, Specialist, Non-Tenure-Track
UT Arlington seeks an Advertising Specialist (Professional-in-Residence) in Advertising beginning Fall 2013. Applicants with a Master’s degree (preferred) and significant experience in the field will be considered. Evidence of classroom and/or related teaching experience is valued. Preferred teaching areas include creative, interactive media, IMC, and consumer and market research. A secondary teaching field in public relations, communication law and ethics, and/or media sales would be valuable.
