What Industrial Engineers Do

Industrial engineers focus on critical decisions that enable organizations to achieve their goals efficiently and effectively by balancing cost, personnel, technology, system constraints, safety, and the environment. Key skills include data science, logistics, optimization, simulation, systems engineering, human factors, reliability, and engineering management. Industrial engineers are everywhere, working in transportation, supply chains, quality assurance, health care, energy, sustainability, and more. U.S. job growth for industrial engineering is forecast to be 14% through 2030.

At the UTA Fort Worth campus we offer a 30-credit hour accelerated Master's program in Engineering Management that can be completed in 16-21 months.  The hybrid course schedule is designed for working professionals who are pursuing their degree part-time.

Fast Track Program to Master’s Degree

The Fast Track Program enables outstanding UTA senior undergraduate students in Industrial Engineering to satisfy degree requirements leading to a master's degree in Industrial Engineering while completing their undergraduate studies. 

B.S. to Ph.D. Program

The B.S. to Ph.D. track in Industrial Engineering requires 48 credit hours of coursework and additional credit hours of dissertation/research coursework.
