UEP Best Practices

Audience: New departmental assessment liaisons or seasoned veterans (both academic and non-academic)

Description: 

UEP Best Practices is an opportunity for assessment leaders and learners across the university to come together and discuss issues pertinent to the UEP. Topics to be discussed include

  1. Meaningful and measurable outcomes
  2. Sustainable assessment leadership
  3. Setting achievable but challenging criteria for success
  4. Closing the loop of assessment
  5. Turning results into proposed improvements
  6. Turning proposed improvements into real improvements

Audience: Departmental assessment liaisons and leadership for academic units with a disciplinary accrediting body

Description: 

UEP and Discipline-Specific Accreditation is geared for academic units who wish to better integrate their UEP and their discipline accreditation efforts.  Topics to be discussed include

  1. Aligning the UEP with discipline accreditation
  2. Long-term planning, using discipline accrediting standards as guides
  3. Using discipline-specific accreditation efforts to evaluate student learning for the UEP

UEP and Multi-site, Multiple Modality Programs is geared for academic units who wish to work on integrated and sustainable efforts towards assessing student learning in on-line, distance education, off-site, consortial, or other non-traditional learning environments. Topics to be discussed include

  2. Comparability in assessment for classes in an online program
  3. Assessment best practices for off-site locations
