Program Events and Activities

The LGBTQA Program takes a proactive approach to address discrimination, safety, and bullying for the LGBTQA population, and includes a balance of programs that highlight positive role models, accomplishments, pride, and celebration of the LGBTQA community.

Pride Peers will work in collaboration with UT Arlington staff and established student groups, strengthening existing and future programs/services that help to foster an inclusive campus atmosphere.

All students will be able to participate, learn from, and enjoy a wide variety of events throughout the semester.

A sample of the upcoming programs will include:

  • LGBTQA lectures/performances
  • Pride Week
  • Social events that provide opportunities for networking and community building
  • Safe Zone Ally Training
  • Anti-Bullying education and advocacy
  • Campus observances of national events:  National Day of Silence, National Coming Out Day, Take Back the Night
