Usage Guidelines for UH Lecture Halls
(First Floor only)

The lecture halls on the first floor of University Hall are designed to be used for large sections of introductory courses. To serve this purpose, the College of Liberal Arts has installed media equipment in these rooms. Non-class events may be scheduled (see below), but media equipment and microphones will not normally be available.

Lecture Halls 110, 115, 116, and 121

Classes scheduling: these rooms are in the ‘Liberal Arts Dean’ zone in Astra; normal class scheduling procedures apply.

No special procedures for booking events (book in Astra); no restrictions on times and days of use.

Media-equipment and microphones are only available for class use, but the Dean of Liberal Arts Office (817-272-3291) may grant exceptions for:

  • Events sponsored by UTA academic units, or
  • Events sponsored by UTA student organizations taking place during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays). The faculty advisor must be present and take responsibility for the equipment.

Room 108

Classes scheduling: this room is in the ‘Liberal Arts Dean’ zone in Astra; normal class scheduling procedures apply.

Events must be booked with the Dean of Liberal Arts Office (817-272-3291) as well as in Astra.

Media-equipment and microphones are only available for class use. Due to security issues, non-class events are only allowed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays).

The Dean of Liberal Arts Office may grant exceptions to both day/time and media equipment restrictions for:

  • Events sponsored by UTA academic units, or
  • Events sponsored by UTA student organizations taking place during normal business hours. The faculty advisor must be present and take responsibility for the equipment.
