Access Services is responsible for providing 24/5 circulation of materials, which includes books, laptops, and group study rooms, providing access to print and electronic course reserves, and performing stacks maintenance services for the Central Library. Access Services also provides Interlibrary Loan, distance education and remote storage retrieval services.

The Architecture & Fine Arts Library provides access to a core print collection and digital research resources to support art, art history, architecture, film/video studies, graphic design, interior design, landscape design, music, and photography.

Digital Library Services coordinates the development and maintenance of the Library's website; collaborates on the creation of unique digital collections; and operates the Digital Media Studio, a multimedia and instructional facility.

Information Literacy teaches essential library skills for undergraduate students and manages the Library's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program which promotes geographic analysis and spatial literacy. The department also hosts physical tours of the Library, offers seminars, presents course related instruction, and creates interactive online instructional tools.

Information Resources (IR) manages the Library's general collections. The unit selects and acquires books, periodicals, microformats, media, and digital resources. It also reviews and assesses the Library's holdings to align them with the current and anticipated future research and teaching emphases of the University. In addition, IR is the point of contact for donors wishing to give materials to the Library.

The Information Services staff provides information and research assistance to the UT Arlington community for on-site as well as off-site users. They identify potential users and assist them in acquiring accurate and comprehensive information to support faculty research and student learning.

Library Systems (LS) is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all computer technologies in all of the Library's facilities. LS also manages the Library's integrated library management system, Voyager, which supports the purchase, organization and circulation of library materials, in addition to the Library's Online Catalog.

Metadata Services catalogs materials and prepares them for placement in the stacks. Additionally, they process all U.S. and Texas government documents, shelve Current Periodicals and bind loose periodicals into hardbacks. They also provide binding services for personal theses and dissertations.

Special Collections helps students, faculty, staff and members of the wider community find information, primarily on the subjects of Texas, the history of cartography, the U.S. Mexico war (1846-1848), and the history of Mexico (1820-1910). It collects all formats of materials in those fields including books, archives and manuscript collections, maps, graphics, photographs, newspapers, sheet music, broadsides, pamphlets, audio and video recordings, ephemera, realia and electronic records.
