Equipment in Central Library


Computers

Central Library offers public PCs on floors 1-5. Most of these PCs are available on the 1st floor, in Sam's Click Cafe.Guest Users have a daily limit on the use of PCs. Learn more here.



Printers

Color and black-and-white printing is available on the 1st floor in Sam's Click Cafe. Black-and-white printing is available on the 2nd floor.



Copiers

Photocopy machines are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Library. They will accept Mav Money and cash.



Fax Machine

A fax machine is located on the 2nd floor of Central Library in the room marked "Copier". The machine allows for sending of faxes, but will not receive them. The fax machine accepts all major credit cards. It does not accept cash, checks, or Mav Money.



KIC Scanners

These scanners are like photocopy machines, except instead making a paper copy, it creates a digital copy which can be saved to a portable USB drive, or e-mailed to a recipient. KIC Scanners are located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. There is also a KIC Scanner available on the 6th floor for Special Collections users only. Using KIC Scanners is free.



Mav Money Vending Machine

Add money to your Mav Express card using the Mav Money vending machine located on the first floor of Central Library near the Help Desk. The machine accepts cash bills ($1, $5, $10, $20) or major credit/debit cards.



Shredder

A paper shredder is available on the 2nd floor of the Library in the room marked "Copier".



SMART Boards

Most reserved group study rooms are equipped with interactive white boards called SMART boards. This technology allows you to write on the board in "digital ink" and save your notes electronically. Learn more about Group Study Rooms.



Test Supplies Vending Machine

This vending machine dispenses scantron sheets, blue books, bubble sheets, and other testing supplies. The machine is located on the first floor by the copiers across from the service desk. It accepts cash and major credit cards.



Text Enlarger

The text enlarger allows users to significantly magnify print and electronic resources for users with visual impairments or disabilities. The enlarger is located on the 2nd floor near the elevators.
