Description:

Service which lists, and makes available for order, over 470,000 standards and specifications from the U.S., Europe, Japan. (Full text documents must be requested for delivery.) Most in electronic form; some must be in hard copy. List of standards available.

IEEE standards should be accessed through IEEE Xplore.

Current ASTM standards are available in hard copy in the Science & Engineering Library.

For other standards, first check Library catalog to determine if it is already in the collection.  If not:

Perform search in Standards Infobase and click on "Request this standard" for desired items. When finished building a list of requests, click on green "View Basket Checkout" box in left column. Fill out resulting form using your @uta.edu e-mail address, but disregard "Delivery Options" and price. Click on "Place Order." If item is already available in Library, that will be indicated; if the Library must order it from the publisher, you will receive an e-mail response when Library personnel approve or deny your request. If your request is approved, you will receive notification when your standard has arrived and is available. Most standards can be obtained in 2-7 days. If you have not received any notification after one week, check with a Science & Engineering Library staff member..

When finished, be sure to log off by clicking on "Logout / Home" in the left column.
