About the Reference Desk
Do you have basic questions about how to use the Library? Look for the "Questions? Ask Here!" sign on the 2nd floor of the Central Library (see hours) for help with:
- Finding information on a topic
- Searching library catalogs, article databases, and the internet
- Locating facts and statistics
- Answer questions about the services and resources of the UTA libraries
- Refer people to information sources beyond the library
About the Research Help Desk
Do you need to sit down with a librarian or writing center consultant for help? In our Research Help area (also on the 2nd floor) you can get in-depth, supportive help with:
- all stages of the research process from understanding assignments, writing papers, to citing sources
- copyright, scholarly publishing, and research alerts
- GIS, datasets, and statistics
- specialized reference expertise and searching assistance
