About Course Reserves
Our Course Reserves Service provides students with access to supplemental course readings, exams, class notes, and much, much more. Materials are accessible either online as Electronic Reserves (E-Reserves) or available for check-out as On-Site reserves.
Electronic Reserves (E-Reserves)
E-Reserves are typically copies of chapters or journal articles that have been scanned and placed online for your course, at the request of your instructor. Your NetID and password will be required to obtain access to e-reserves for your course. Access permissions are given based upon enrollment in the course associated with the item you are trying to access. Most e-reserves readings are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Other course material may be placed in On-Site Reserves. Instructors can submit single chapters of books, journal articles, or even complete books. On-Site reserves are assigned short loan periods and can be checked out at the Reserves desk on the first floor of the Central Library or the service desk at either the Architectures & Fine Arts Library or the Science & Engineering Library. Borrowing On-Site Reserves
The length of time you may borrow On-Site Reserves can vary from as little as 2 hours to as much as 7 days depending on the limits set by the course instructor.
