Photographs and Graphics

Photographic materials include prints, negatives, slides, and glass plates.

Major collections at UT Arlington include the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Collection, the Arlington Citizen-Journal, and the Fort Worth News-Tribune, as well as several collections of the work of commercial photographers such as Jack White, Basil Clemons, Squire Haskins, William S. Wood, and W. D. Smith. The J. W. Dunlop Photograph Collection is a unique assemblage of more than 1,000 images of Arlington and its environs.  Photographs may also be found in various family and labor union collections as well as in the UT Arlington Archives.

Other graphics include engravings, lithographs, posters, drawings, and other works of art which illustrate the history of the Republic of Texas, the U. S. War with Mexico, and the early days of Texas statehood, among other subjects and time periods.  Post cards in the Texas Post Card Collection depict buildings and landscapes of Texas cities, ca. 1903-1990s.
