Give a Monetary Gift

Outright or Deferred Gift

Gifts of cash made outright, by bequest, or by a lifetime-income gift, such as a trust, may be directed to a variety of uses, including the purchase of library materials or equipment or the support of special programs and services. The UT Arlington Library would be happy to assist persons interested in creating bequests or lifetime-income gifts.

Honorary Gift

A gift may be made in memory or in honor of a friend or relative. The volume or volumes purchased with the gift will have a special bookplate recognizing the honoree. Letters of acknowledgment are sent to the donor and the honoree or the family or friend of the person in whose name the gift was made.

Gift for an Endowment

Gifts in the amount of $1,000 or more may be made to an existing library endowment. Currently there are three endowments which have been established to support library enhancements and improvements, and they are:

  • General Library Endowment: Improves library services at the Architecture & Fine Arts Library, Central Library, and the Science & Engineering Library.

  • Special Collections Endowment: Sponsors programs and acquires collections relating to Texas and Southwestern history and the history of the U.S. War with Mexico, 1846-1848.

  • Virginia Garrett Cartographic History Library Endowment: Supports the acquisition and processing of maps, atlases, and public programs relating to cartographic history.
