Howdy, Mr. President!

Honoring the memory of President John F. Kennedy 50 years after his death, UT Arlington Libraries Special Collections is proud to exhibit, "Howdy, Mr. President! A Fort Worth Perspective of JFK." This free exhibit opens Sept. 9 and closes Feb. 8, 2014. Drawing from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram photographic collection at UTA, the exhibit shows the enthusiastic welcome the Kennedys received in Fort Worth prior to their Dallas visit.

Accepting art submissions for MavsArt Fall 2013 Exhibit

Would you like for your art to be displayed to thousands of visitors at the UT Arlington Central Library? Are you a UTA student, staff member, of faculty member? Then submit your art for our semester-long exhibit no later than Tuesday, Sept. 24. The theme for the Fall 2013 exhibit is "What does UTA mean to you?" How much has Fort Worth changed in the past 60 years? Fort Worth Evolution, an online photographic exhibit, recrates photographs of Fort Worth taken by commercial photographer W.D. Smith in the 1940s and 50s.
