How did this project get started?
UT Arlington students voted in favor of the Student Life Initiative referendum in April 2005. Behind this referendum was the desire to enhance the sense of tradition and pride on the UT Arlington campus. The Activities Building Renovation and Expansion will provide new and improved recreational, activity and wellness space as well as a community hub. UT Arlington students and the entire Maverick community will heavily utilize the new venue, providing equipment and facilities competitive with other colleges and universities around the country.
Will the Activities Building shut down during the construction process?
No. The Activities Building will remain functional during the construction process. Various areas will be closed at different times, but the Campus Recreation staff will do its best to relocate activity areas in order to continue to provide services, programs and events. Academic classes will continue to meet. For more information, contact Allyson Weitz at 817-272-3277.
When will the new fee structure begin?
