Research

My area of research is in the field of Mathematical Statistics in the area of distribution parameter estimation. Probability distributions can be grouped into “families” that have similar functional forms differing by only a finite number of parameters. Using observed data the parameters for the underlying distribution can be estimated to make predictions such as the failure rate in a production process.

Interests

I am an avid world traveler with the goal of visiting every country in the world. On many of my travels abroad I scuba dive and work on my underwater photography.

Biography

I received my Bachelor of Sciences degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2005 from Georgia Tech, my Masters of Sciences degree in Mathematics in 2009 from the University of Texas at Arlington and am currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics.
I was born in Ohio but have spent outside of my 5 years in Atlanta for my undergraduate degree the last 16 years in Texas. I am married to Ruth who is a PhD Candidate in Economics at SMU. We have two black labs that take up the rest of our time.
