University of Texas at Arlington ``Solution of Differential Equations Using Continuous Lie Groups''Abstract: After an introduction, the focus is on the application of continuous Lie groups to the solution of ordinary differential equations. The topic is reviewed, and a tabular organizational scheme is introduced. A new concept, called enlargement, is discussed. For ODEs, this procedure greatly increases the scope of Lie groups. The presentation concludes with a discussion of possible future ODE and PDE work. |
