``The Dynamics of Time Discretizations''
Abstract:
The topic of this talk is the numerical simulation of differential
equations. We discuss the possibility of numerical simulations which are
valid over long time intervals. Stated differently, we ask whether one may
expect a simulation (discretization) to have the same asymptotic behaviour
(limit sets) as the underlying differential equation.
