Friday (3/31/2006) at 4:00pm in 487 Pickard Hall "Direct Summand Conjecture"Abstract: In this talk we will introduce the Direct Summand Conjecture and discuss solutions in characteristic 0, equicharacteristic p, and dimension two. We will then give an outline of my proof of the conjecture in mixed characteristice and dimension three.
