Friday (9/22/2006) at 2:30pm in 304 Pickard Hall "Differential algebraic equations: A general framework for simulation, and control"Abstract: We discuss a general mathematical framework for the simulation and control of coupled systems consisting of different components (multiphysics systems). This framework allows to combine the time integration and control techniques like feedback control in one concept. As applications we discuss the control of semidiscretized (in space) flow, and population balance equations.
