``Surface Scattering: Reflections in a Dusty Mirror''
Abstract:
The different physical conditions that induce surface scattering will be discussed.
Some background material regarding Maxwell's equations, vector potentials and general
boundary conditions will be provided. Some traditional solution approaches such as
Hertz vectors, Debye potentials, vector wave functions, etc. will be briefly reviewed
along with some known solutions for regular geometries. The T Matrix Method for the
numerical solution of axisymmetric and irregular particle geometries will be
outlined.
