Friday (10/1/2004) at 4:00pm in 487 Pickard Hall "An Introduction to Gorenstein Rings"Abstract: This talk will include a list of equivalent conditions defining a Gorenstein ring, some basic examples of such rings, and, if time permits, a brief introduction to the research question posed to me by Professor David Jorgensen. Sources for the information include, but will not be limited to, Huneke, Jorgensen, and Atiyah.
