Recipients of these fellowships will receive a stipend of $30,000 per year and up to $10,500 in education costs toward tuition, fees, books, and insurance. The main objectives of the GK-12 program in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas at Arlington are to (1) enhance GK-12 fellows' professional development, particularly their communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, and (2) to improve mathematics education in the Arlington Independent School District by developing a seamless learning pathway for bringing research-level mathematics to the K-12 setting.

In order to be considered for the GK-12 Fellowship, candidates must be
  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents
