Mathematics Student Organizations at UT Arlington
In addition to providing high quality education and research programs to its students, the Department of Mathematics also strives to create a student-centered and student-friendly learning community. With strong Department support and active faculty participation, Mathematics student organizations in the Department have become important venues for undergraduate and graduate students to build peer support network, develop professional skills, and organize social and extra-curricular activities.
In 2007, the UT Arlington Mathematics undergraduate student team won the Math Jeopardy at the MAA Summer National Meeting and the Problem Solving Carnival at the MAA Texas Section Spring Meeting.
