2009-10 Events

The second season of the free Maverick Speakers Series at The University of Texas at Arlington will include an astronaut, a prominent magazine editor and commentators on politics and law.

Bestselling author and urban theorist Richard Florida kicks off the season September 25, 2009. Following Florida will be CNN political analyst David Gergen and Newsweek editor Jon Meacham. Astronaut Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, will speak in February. Pulitzer Prize-winner Jeffrey Toobin concludes the series in March.
