Bill Nye is a scientist, engineer, comedian, author, and inventor who works to foster a scientifically literate society and to help people understand and appreciate the science that makes our world work. Making science entertaining and accessible is something he's been doing most of his life. His Bill Nye the Science Guy TV show has won seven national Emmy Awards for writing, performing, and producing. The show won 28 Emmys in five years. Nye is also the host of two TV series: The 100 Greatest Discoveries airs on the Science Channel, and The Eyes of Nye airs on PBS stations across the country.
