Dr. Gary Lacefield

Dr. Gary E. Lacefield is the President of the Risk Mitigation Group in Arlington, Texas.  He earned both a Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration in Finance degrees from Dallas Baptist University as well as a Doctorate in Supervision, Administration and Conflict Resolution from Texas A&M University - Commerce. For the past thirty-five years, Dr. Lacefield has worked in both the federal and private sectors regarding financial regulatory related issues. During this time, Dr. Lacefield was the Supervisor of Lending Investigations for HUD in the Southwest Region and Washington D.C for almost a decade.  In addition, Dr. Lacefield developed and implemented the Conflict Resolution program in the Graduate School at Dallas Baptist University.  Dr. Lacefield has conducted over 35 arbitrations and 600 mediations in the private sector as well as being a court appointed mediator for complex cases. Dr. Lacefield has testified as an expert in 156 cases civil and criminal mortgage finance & fraud cases in federal and state court on behalf of industry, consumers, and for the prosecution.  Dr. Lacefield’s opinions have been published in the federal register and in concurrence with HUD General Counsel regarding RESPA related issues. Dr. Lacefield is a Clinical Associate Professor on the faculty of the Marketing Department of the College of Business over 12 years at the University of Texas at Arlington.  He also serves on several non-profit boards.  Dr. Lacefield has four grown children and 8.5 grandchildren.

Don R. Kelly, B.S.W.

Mr. Don Kelly graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor in Social Work degree, a minor in Philosophy, and a minor in Child Advocate Studies. Don is also a graduate of American Broadcasting School. Mr. Kelly is working on his Master’s degree in Social work at the University of Texas at Arlington. His plans include the pursuit of a PhD. in Conflict Resolution and Analysis.  Mr. Kelly has served as President of the board of directors of Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, Mr. Kelly has been recognized by Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas, Inc. as Mediator of the year and has also been inducted into that organization’s Millennium Mediators Hall of Fame honoring his over one thousand hours of service. Mr. Kelly has served as a member of the board of the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable, a member of the board of directors of the College of Texas Mediators and also held the position of President for the Tarrant County Association of Mediators.  He has served on the City Council in Watauga, Texas, is a United States military veteran, father of three adult children and has been married for over thirty years to his wife, Kathy.  Mr. Kelly is the current CEO and owner of Peacemaker Services, Inc.  Mr. Kelly has been a qualified court-appointed mediator in both Texas and New Mexico since 1996 teaching both basic and family mediation. Mr. Kelly’s mediation training includes the 40-hour basic training, 30-hour family training, Christian Conciliation training and certification, child abuse and neglect training, principles of cross-cultural mediation, EEO mediation, child protective services mediation, advanced mediation, transformative mediation, victim/offender mediation, and domestic violence mediation.
