This 40 hour mediation training is an alternative dispute resolution course sponsored by the State Bar of Texas. The course provides participants with a thorough understanding of the principals, procedures and practical techniques of dispute resolution through mediation. Participants will engage in 20 hours of lecture and 20 hours of role play over a 5 day period and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training. Participants may receive CLE, MCLE and/or other continuing education credit for completing this course.

  • Training is free to UT Arlington faculty and staff members who commit to conducting 5 student mediations over the next 24-month period as a part of the University’s volunteer mediator pool.
  • Participants must commit to fully attending each of the 5 sessions to complete the training and receive the certificate of completion.

June 9, 11, 16, 18 and 20, 2014, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, Location TBA

Registration for training will close on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 5 pm.
