The Bart Lewis Memorial Scholarship

The Bart Lewis Memorial Scholarship was established by a bequest from the estate of Dr. Bartie Lee Lewis, as specified in his Last Will and Testament. The award(s) is/are intended for undergraduate/graduate students majoring in a Modern Language at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Financial Aid

Students seeking financial aid while attending UTA should read the UTA Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships Web site external link and contact financial aid advisors to help in obtaining scholarships and financial aid while attending UTA.



While in Study Abroad Programs

Scholarships are available to students who seek to study abroad. The UTA International Student Fee Scholarship is awarded annually. In addition, students may use their financial aid while studying abroad. Various programs offer their own financial aid. Here are a few scholarship opportunities:

  • Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals
    This study and internship program provides award winners with two months’ intensive German language study, four months of study at a university, and a five-month internship. More information can be found at CDS International: Fellowships Abroad   external link.

     
  • Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst: German Academic Exchange Service
    The German Academic Exchange Service promotes cooperative international academic and scientific exchange for faculty and students from a number of fields of study. The Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst Web site  external link provides information regarding grants and fellowships for research and study in Germany.

     
  • Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships
    These scholarships provide funding for students studying abroad and cover all costs related to tuition, living, and travel expenses up to $25,000. Please see the Ambassadorial Scholarships page   external link on the Rotary Foundation Web site for details.
