The Mountains and Plains Child Welfare Implementation Center would like to invite you to attend the second annual Round Table meeting to be held March 28th- 30th, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. We are honored to have Joyce James, Associate Deputy Commissioner, Center for Elimination of Disproportionality and Disparities, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, be the keynote speaker for the opening session. Ms James will be addressing disproportionality in the child welfare system for all children of color. The meetings will start on the afternoon of March 28th and will end at noon on March 30th.
MCPWIC will reimburse travel expenses for 2 Child Welfare Directors per State and 1 Child Welfare Director per Tribe. If the Child Welfare Director is unable to attend, only staff in a leadership/upper management position can serve as the replacement. MPCWIC will make all flight and room reservations. Confirmation emails with your travel information will be sent from Donna Cleveland prior to the event. Participants will need to make arrangements for ground transportation to/from the Sheraton prior to the event. For additional information, see the registration form.
To register for this event, please complete the registration form attached to this email or print a copy from our website (www.mpcwic.org ). All forms need to be printed, scanned and returned by email to Donna Cleveland at dcleveland@uta.edu by January 31st, 2011.
