Materials Camp for Kids
The UT Arlington Material Science and Engineering
Department cordially invites elementary school kids
to the 6th annual Materials Camp for Kids at UT
Arlington. Come expose your mind to the exciting &
fun world of science and technology.
What will you do?
•Observe atoms using an electron microscope (you could be the youngest kid to observe real atoms)
•View a gold-coated bug with magnification 30,000 times better than your eyes
•Convert sunshine to electricity
•Have fun with Laser Beams
•Write your name with shiny and tiny particles
•Visit the UTA Nanotechnology Facility
•Watch the stars at the state-of-art UTA planetarium (http://www.uta.edu/planetarium/)
