The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at UT Arlington is a fast-growing interdisciplinary graduate program with 10 faculty members and approximately 70 graduate students. The department offers Ph. D. and M. S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering. Since 2002, the department has seen rapid growth in both research and education. Currently, active research is ongoing in nanotechnology, materials for energy, biomaterials, surface engineering and thin films electronic materials and other thrusts.Our graduates are hired by the world’s leading companies.
