Lee Markowitz is Chief Research Officer of Ipsos-Insight. He is responsible for developing and implementing best of class approaches for methodology and analysis. His team provides advanced methodological and analytical support to clients and client service. Lee works closely with his counterparts in other Ipsos companies and consults on strategic acquisitions to enhance Ipsos research capabilities. In his prior role as VP, Product Management, he was responsible for leading efforts to develop, extend, restage, market, manage and support Ipsos-Insight products and online research capabilities.
Prior to joining Ipsos, Mr. Markowitz was vice president of marketing sciences at the Walker Group and vice president and director of analytics at SAMI/Burke. He has developed and implemented validated models for forecasting product sales, measuring advertising effectiveness, optimizing product lines, and source of volume – many of which are used by a number of companies today.
Dr. Markowitz has publications in psychology, mathematics, and market research. He has presented at key industry conferences including The Advanced Research Techniques Forum, ORSATIMS/Informs, the Advertising Research Foundation, the International Quality and Productivity Center, the Product Development & Management Association, and the Council of American Survey Research Organizations. He has conducted multivariate analysis training and has been invited by Ipsos clients to present on statistical, online, and innovation topics. He holds a doctorate in social psychology and a master’s degree in applied statistics from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Kenyon College
