Looking for a unique way to get involved on campus? We are seeking energetic and creative students excited about designing activities that help to celebrate the rich cultural diversity at UT Arlington. The Multicultural Mavericks is a program designed to allow students to give input into the creation and implementation of programs aimed at promoting multicultural awareness on campus.
An exciting opportunity awaits you!
- The Multicultural Mavericks consist of 4 student planning committees for each of the heritage month celebrations held on campus.
- Heritage months planned include Hispanic Heritage, Asian Heritage, Black History, and Women's History Months.
As a Multicultural Maverick, you have the opportunity to
- Meet new friends and have fun!
- Gain valuable leadership experience!
- Help to positively contribute to celebrating UTA diversity!

- Students are invited to join one or multiple committees. Many members participate in at least 2 committees.
- Meetings are held throughout the year. Click the links for the heritage months at the left to find out when the next committee meets.
- Committee members work together to brainstorm and implement ideas for heritage events including social, cultural, educational, and philanthropic activities.
- All UTA students are welcome! Each committee is made up of a diverse group of students and we welcome all those excited about the opportunity.
- No experience necessary! Membership is free!
