Multicultural Mavericks

Be a Multicultural Maverick!

Looking for a unique way to get involved on campus? We are seeking energetic and creative students excited about hosting activities that celebrate diversity at UTA. The Multicultural Mavericks program allows students to play an active role in hosting the heritage months on campus while gaining valuable leadership skills! Cost of participation is free!

Specifically, the Multicultural Mavs help host campus celebrations for:

  • Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15 – October 15)
  • Asian Heritage Month (November)
  • Black History Month (February)
  • Interested in Women’s History Month?  Please refer to Women in Leadership

An exciting opportunity awaits you!

  • Meet a diverse group of new friends! All UTA students are welcome. You don’t need to identify as Hispanic, Asian, or Black. We welcome all those excited about the opportunity!
  • Members work together to implement ideas for heritage month events including social, cultural, educational, and philanthropic activities.
  • Members are required to attend at least 5 designated events per semester. These can be chosen from a variety of fun and interactive activities that contribute to your personal and leadership development.
