Fall 2013 Member Requirements

*To remain in good standing, each semester every cohort member must at least attend two general assembly cohort meetings and three heritage month programs

Level I – Multicultural Mavericks T-shirt (Blue): Must attend at least two general assembly cohort meetings

Level II - Coffee Mug: Must attend at least two general assembly meetings plus three heritage month (Hispanic Heritage Month and/or Asian Heritage Month) programs

Level III - Multicultural Affairs Messenger Bag: Must attend at least two general assembly meetings plus three heritage month (Hispanic Heritage Month and/or Asian Heritage Month) programs, plus two additional heritage month programs or two make-up programs

Make-up Events/programs opportunities:

  •  Volunteer at least two hours at a promotional event (e.g., tabling to promote Carnaval)
  •  Attend a Diversity Lecture Series and/or Maverick Speaker Series program

Diversity Lecture Series (Make-up programs)

  •  Monday, September 30, 12-1pm, UC Concho
  •  Monday, October 21, 12-1pm, UC Rio Grande

Benefits for being a Multicultural Maverick-

  •  Opportunity to participate in Homecoming parade, as well as bed races and Ooze Ball team!
  •  Invitation to end of year Award Ceremony!

Spring 2014 Member Requirements

*To remain in good standing, each semester every cohort member must at least attend three general assembly cohort meetings, one community service event, and three heritage month programs.

Level I – Multicultural Mavericks T-shirt (Navy): Must attend at least two general assembly cohort meetings and Multicultural Maverick community service event

Level II - Multicultural Affairs Pennants: Must attend at least two general assembly cohort meetings, Multicultural Maverick community service event, and at least two Black History Month programs

Level III - UTA License Plates/Alumni License Plates for Graduating Seniors: Must attend at least two general assembly cohort meetings, Multicultural Maverick community service event, and at least two Black History Month programs

Make-up Events/programs opportunities:

  • Volunteer at least two hours at a promotional event (e.g., tabling to promote Black Leadership Institute)
  •  Attend a Diversity Lecture Series and/or Maverick Speaker Series program
  •  Attend a Diversity Week program (first week of March, 2014)

Benefits for being a Multicultural Maverick-

  •  Invitation to end of year Award Ceremony!
