• . Costume contest: grab your beads, masks, feathers, boas, and paint your faces to arrive in your best carnaval outfit. Winner gets a free ipod!

All UTA students, faculty & staff are welcome. Teams must consist of 6 players who will compete in the following 2 categories:

• . Choreography (2 players needed): Players will meet privately in a separate area to learn a short 1-2 minute dance routine with basic salsa steps. No dance experience necessary. After a designated period, the dancers will return to UC Mall area to perform for the judges and earn points for their team.


• . Obstacle course (4 players needed): Players will race through a series of activities including limbo!


• . Note: the dance marathon element from previous Dancing with Mavs has been eliminated in order to accommodate new individual games and festival activities. Everyone can enjoy dancing & fun!

• . Teams are encouraged to show their spirit! Get creative with signs, t-shirts, and/or a banner for your team!


• . Any 6 students, faculty or staff members can make up a team. Teams can represent a student organization, department, or group of Maverick friends!


• . Please designate team name in registration


• . Check In for all team members will be from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.
  ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK-IN BY 6:30 PM! No exceptions!
  • o Waiver forms and team numbers will be distributed at check-in
