Eligibility

Teams must be made up of 7 people.  UTA students and faculty/staff are eligible to participate.

The entire UTA community is welcome to enjoy this event. 
Play on a team or just watch!

How will the games work?
The event will be divided into 4 game categories: Sumo wrestling, obstacle course, joust and chopstick challenge.  Teams will earn points in each competition with the final winners determined by total points at the end of the night. Bonus points will be given for spirit. So show support for your favorite team !

All games will be played tournament style to determine winners.

How many players are needed for each game?

  • Teams must consist of 7 players who are UTA registered students or UTA faculty/staff. 
  • Two players will be needed to compete in sumo wrestling. 
  • Two players will be needed to compete in obstacle course. 
  • Two players needed for joust.
  • One player needed for chopstick challenge.
  • In these four competitions, winners from each round will advance. 
  • For each round of these tournaments, teams will be allowed to switch out which player is competing.
  • How many teams will be allowed?
    Team registration is limited.  The max amount of teams will be 16.   

    All players are required to check in between 6:00 - 6:30 pm on November 17th. All 7 players must be ready at the obstacle course, sumo, joust and chopstick stations by 6:30 pm!

    Prizes
    Teams will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  Winners will receive medals and trophies.

    Registration


    Registration fee: Registered teams must submit a $25 registration fee by cash or check (made payable to Multicultural Affairs). Please submit your fee by Wednesday, November 17 at noon to the Multicultural Affairs office located in the lower level University Center RM B150. The entire funds raised will be donated to the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund.

    Deadline to register is Friday, November 12th or until team slots filled.
