Be a Multicultural Maverick!

Gain valuable leadership experience while helping to celebrate diversity at UTA! Applications are now being accepted for the Multicultural Maverick Executive Board for 2011-2012. The Exec Board will be responsible for overseeing the student planning committees for:

  • Hispanic Heritage Month
  • Asian Heritage Month
  • Black History Month
  • Women’s History Month

We are currently recruiting for Black History Month Chair and Women's History Month Chair only. The remaining two chair positions are already filled.

  • Be a paid student employee in Multicultural Affairs
  • Appointment begins August 2011 and ends May 2012
  • Salary:  $8.50/hr, minimum 15 hrs per week, maximum 19 hrs/wk
  • Minimum GPA required:  2.25
  • Previous involvement in programs with UTA Multicultural Affairs office.
  • Eligibility:  work-study and non work-study
  • Must be enrolled at UTA through May 2012

    Deadline: April 3, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

    A select group of applicants will be contacted for interviews by April 11th.  Unfortunately, we are unable to conduct interviews with everyone due to the large volume of applicants we receive.  If you have not heard from us by April 11th, it unfortunately means that you have not been selected for an interview this year.  PLEASE do not contact office directly. 

    Interviews:
    Individual & Group Interviews with selected applicants will be held April 18th – 22nd.
    Applicants must complete one individual Interview & 1 group Interview.
    Further details will be sent to selected applicants.

    Results announced April 25th
