Overview of P.A.S.S.
Founded in 2003, Promoting Academic Student Success (P.A.S.S.) was designed to assist in the transition from high school to college. The goal of the program is to help students reach their highest academic potential at the University of Texas at Arlington. Participants benefit from free services including peer tutoring, academic skills workshops, and mentorship.
Free Tutoring
P.A.S.S. participants receive 30 hours of free tutoring from a trained SOAR tutor. This great service can help you to reach your highest potential and gain useful insights proven to be beneficial in the classroom. For more information on SOAR, visit www.uta.edu/soar/
One on One Mentoring…
All P.A.S.S. participants will meet twice a month with the Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs. This is an opportunity for you to set academic goals, plan for your career, and most of all, have a person you can talk to confidentially about issues that are important to you.
