The UTA Opera Workshop, under the direction of Dr. Soo Hong Kim and Mr. Ronald Montgomery, offers students valuable performance opportunities and teaches them skills necessary to pursue the crafts of operatic and musical performance in the professional world.
The UTA Opera Workshop, under the direction of Dr. Soo Hong Kim and Mr. Ronald Montgomery, offers students valuable performance opportunities and teaches them skills necessary to pursue the crafts of operatic and musical performance in the professional world.
Each fall semester, the class produces a scenes program and in the spring semester a full-length opera or musical. Opera workshop participants frequently benefit from master-classes with guest artists such as Phyllis Richmond, Martha Gerhart and Fort Worth Opera director Darren Keith Woods.
Opera Workshop meets Tuesday-Thursday, 2:00-3:20 p.m. Course registration requires permission of the instructor.
