Dazheng Zhu
Lecturer in Piano, Piano and Music Appreciation
Dazheng Zhu teaches piano at all levels plus courses in Music Theory I and II, Ear Training levels I ? IV, Elements of Music, and Music Appreciation at The University of Texas at Arlington Music Department. She holds degrees from The University of Texas at Arlington and the Texas Christian University in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy. She also studied with professors Joseph Bloch and Rudolph Firkusny, both of the Julliard School in Shanghai Music Conservatory 1983-1985. Ms. Zhu is a very active private piano teacher in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with over 30 years? teaching experience and is a piano instructor at two local colleges. Her students have entered state level piano contests in San Antonio in 2001 through 2006. Many won first and second places in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. Ms. Zhu has also given numerous piano recitals in China, New York, the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and Louisiana. Her many honors and awards include:
She has also judged many piano competitions and contests. She is a member of the Texas Music Teacher Association, the Arlington Music Teachers Association, the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association, and the Sigma Alpha Iota Music Club. Ms. Zhu also serves as an art director of Four Seasons Choir in Arlington. She helps her piano students by accompanying Good Earth Choir and Four Seasons Choir and gives many performances for special occasions and at the Dallas Public Library. |
