Janice Kemp

Janice Kemp has taught music to students from nursery school through 12th grade in both public and private schools. She began her teaching career in the Arlington ISD and subsequently taught at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville. For the past 16 years she has taught at Germantown Academy, a large independent school in the Philadelphia area. There she taught intermediate music and directed a large children’s choir. She also chaired the Performing Arts department, with oversight of the music, theatre, and media programs in grades PreK through 12. While in Pennsylvania Janice served on evaluation teams for numerous independent schools renewing their state accreditation. In addition to her school experience Janice has served as the Director of Children’s Choirs for several large church music programs. She has also served as choral clinician for numerous regional workshops and festivals. Janice holds a BME from the University of North Texas and a MME and Kodaly Certification from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
