Heather Test joined the UT Arlington Faculty as horn instructor in the spring of 2008. She is an active freelance horn player who regularly plays with the Allen Philharmonic, The Lone Star Wind Orchestra, and the Ilmari Winds, a professional woodwind quintet founded in 2007. In addition to performing with these and other various ensembles, Ms. Test maintains a studio of private students in areas of Colleyville, Richardson, Carrollton, and Arlington. Heather has a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of North Texas (2001) and a Master of Music in Performance from Southern Methodist University (2003). Ms. Test has been a member of the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, CO and the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles, CA. She has also performed at South by Southwest in Austin, TX with Robert Gomez and his band of musicians. Heather is married to fellow musician and drummer, Kelly Test, and they reside in Dallas with their dog, Emma Leigh.
