Miss. Deborah Fabian

Deborah Fabian joined the Clarinet faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington in the fall of 2008. She is the Principal Clarinetist with the Dallas Wind Symphony and the Plano Symphony Orchestra.
Fabian has been a featured soloist for many ensembles throughout the United States, including the Plano Symphony Orchestra, Texas Chamber Orchestra and the Dallas Wind Symphony. As a highly sought-after clarinetist in North Texas, she also performs frequently with the Dallas Opera Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. She has recorded with the DSO and has accompanied the orchestra on tours to Europe, Carnegie Hall, Vail, Colo. and Napa Valley, Cal. Her playing can be heard on all of the Dallas Wind Symphony CD's. In addition, she has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic, Grand Rapids Symphony and the Creative Associates of Buffalo.
Fabian’s multi-faceted career includes a busy schedule of teaching as well as performing. Well-respected as a clarinet teacher in the region, Deborah Fabian also serves on the music faculties of University of North Texas and Collin College. She takes pride in the successes of her students who have received high honors for their musical achievements in competitions such as “From the Top” which showcases leading teenage classical musicians, The International Clarinet Association, and the “National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts”.
Fabian received degrees from the University of Buffalo and Michigan State University and has studied with some of the most renowned clarinetists in the country, including Andy Cristanti, Steve Girko, James Pyne, Stanley Hasty and Fred Ormand.
