The Department of Music at UTA provides the student an atmosphere conducive to professional and personal development. Careers in music span a multitude of professions including: teaching, performing, composing, marketing, retail, arts management, publishing and sound recording. To assist our students in preparing for careers in these and other professions, the Music Department offers the Bachelor of Music degree with a variety of options. The curriculum in each degree option is designed to support the individual student's career interests. All degree options provide a solid foundation in music theory, history, and literature.
