UT Arlington Psychology Researchers Study Memory and the Brains of Musicians

 “Musically trained people are known to process linguistic materials a split second faster than those without training, and previous research also has shown musicians have advantages in working memory,” said assistant professor of psychology Heekyeong Park.

Dr. Michael Varner releases a new recording "reVElations"

 
Associate Professor of Percussion, Dr. Michael Varner, is very pleased to announce the release of his new recording "reVElations.”
 
This recording contains seven new pieces for percussion and ensemble, including three new compositions by Dr. Varner, plus works by Benjamin T. Finley, Casey Cangelosi, Eckhard Kopetski, and Toshimitsu Tanaka.
