Welcome to the Texas Cello Academy & Festival

The Texas Cello Academy and Festival (TCA) is an annual week-long summer celebration focused entirely on the cello and its repertoire.  The Texas Cello Academy, Senior (ages 13 - adult), involves daily classes for participants concentrating on cello technique, cello performance, care and maintenance of the cello, and body awareness through Alexander Technique. The Festival includes evening performances:  an annual Faculty Recital, a student Chamber Ensemble Recital, a guest recital, and the Final Festival Concert which includes solo performances by the TCA Performance Seminar participants, and the Cello Orchestra comprised of all participating cellists.   The camp now fills to capacity, so interested prospective participants are urged to send in applications early!  We look forward to working with you in August 2009!
